• Typically, one Friday each or every other month the observatory hosts an open Public Night by reservation only. Visitors to these events are guided in the view of the sky and are able to observe the beauty of the universe through the "eyes" of VIRT and several other instruments. Presentations on the history of the observatory, UVI student research and other astronomical topics are also offered throughout these evenings by the Observatory staff and UVI Physics faculty.
