The Etelman Observatory is part of the University of the Virgin Islands. The Director and the researchers are part-time or full-time faculty at UVI. In order to adequately maintain the facility and the operational activities of the VIRT and the computing equipment Etelman Observatory continuously seeks funding from federal agencies, local business and private parties.
